after care instructions:
Following the after care instructions is the most important factor in a beautifully healed procedure! We want to take all precautions so that the pigment sets in correctly & doesn’t change colors. Things like oxygen, water, steam, make up, chlorine, salt & sweat can all change the color of pigment.
Keep the treated area clean and apply the recommended aftercare ointment as directed for 7–10 days(or as instructed by your technician).
Do not get the procedure area soaking wet or work out for 48 hours.
After 48 hours, use mild, unscented & gentle soap on the area, then reapply aquaphor.
Avoid gardening, pets/animals, or anything that can introduce bacteria into the area.
Do not use products that contain AHA’s on the procedure area(s). (Example: Glycolic, Lactic Acids.)
Do not pick, scratch, rub, or peel any scabbing or flaking skin. Allow it to heal naturally.
Avoid makeup, swimming, saunas, hot tubs, excessive sweating, direct sun exposure, and tanning on the treated area until fully healed (approximately 7–14 days for most procedures).
Follow all aftercare instructions provided by your technician. Failure to follow these instructions may affect healing, pigment retention, and final results, and may require additional touch-up procedures at your own expense.
